Lisa Soetaert graduated as a Master of Law at KU Leuven in July 2018. During her studies, she opted for a specialization in civil law and criminal law. In her final year of law, she also obtained a certificate for the practical seminar ‘Interaction Between Parties in Criminal Proceedings’.

Lisa’s interest in criminal law led her to pursue an additional degree, a Master’s in Criminology. During this course, she obtained a certificate for the practical seminar ‘Restorative Justice and Offender-victim Mediation’. In 2020 she studied for a semester at the University of Edinburgh as part of the Erasmus exchange program. She obtained her master’s degree in Criminology with distinction in September 2020.

Lisa joined the Brussels Bar in October 2020.
